AML-3 sound velocity profiler

Sound velocity in the ocean will vary according to pressure, salinity and temperature. This means that the sound velocity between different water layers also varies, so that the signals are deflected and changed and can give more inaccurate measurements. By using a sound velocity profiler to create an audio profile for the current depth area, this will compensate for errors caused by these factors.

AML-3 SVP is a compact sound velocity profiler with a built-in GPS module that easily creates sound profiles for use with sonars or multibeam echosounders in Olex.
