ESTABLISHED TRACKS - STANTON AND LEVERBURGH
CHANNELS

There are many dangers bordering the narrow
channels. Although some of the leading marks are
inconspicuous and difficult to identify it is important
for vessels to keep close to the established tracks
indicated. Where it is not possible to visually follow
the tracks then alternative methods of
position-fixing must be used. For details of the
tracks designated (A) to (G), see Admiralty Sailing
Directions. The tidal streams run strongly through
the channels and vessels are recommended to
transit at, or near, high slack water.
