CAUTIONS
1.	SURVEY DATA:
Surveys are incomplete in the area. 
Soundings within unsurveyed areas are unreliable and do not fully exclude undiscovered shoals. 
We strongly advice against any navigation in these areas.

2.	SHALLOW AREAS NEAR THE SHORELINE:
On Svalbard only areas deeper than 3 meters are surveyed. 
Close to the shore there is very often an area that has not been surveyed, or where older data has been used instead of newly surveyed data. 
Due to charts scale such areas are not always very visible on nautical chart.

3.	FRONTS OF GLACIERS:
Limits of glaciers are subject to frequent change. 
In front of glaciers going into sea, depths at considerable distance can change essentially (many meters) from year to year. 
All navigation must give attention to this.
